Lip Syncing

Lip syncing is when an actor moves their lips in synchronisation with a pre-recorded soundtrack. Lip syncing is not just used in the music industry but it also used in film making and video games. When producing animated films the developers change the characters lip movement to match the dialogue. Similarly, it is used in video games when animating characters to create an immersive environment for the player. However, in Matt and I's music video we will be incorporating lip syncing for the purpose of covering our chosen song, "Firestarter" by Torre Florim. As neither of us have edited footage to include lip synchronization we will have to research different methods to find the most effective way to incorporate it. As a practice for lip syncing I have recorded myself singing to The Script "The Man Who Can't Be Moved". This will help me with the music video as I will be able to perfect the lip sync editing to produce an accurate music video.
