As I have already got past experience of filming sessions I was able to prepare effectively so Matt and I could get the most out the day. As last year there were more of us it was easier for us to go off task making our progress slow. This year however, there were only three of us involved in producing the music video meaning more could be done in a shorter period of time. In the time since last year I have learnt to drive so a larger range of places became apparent to us as they were easily accessible to us whereas last year we had to stay local restricting our location options.
Matt, Alfie and I arrived at the Hulme Hippodrome at twelve o'clock in order to optimise our day as we wanted to film as many shots as we could. We learnt this from last year as when it came to editing the footage we needed more shots for the opening sequence to flow correctly and so we had to re-shoot, we wanted to prevent this and not have to re-film any footage. We debriefed Alfie on the storyboard and explained our vision. It is important that Alfie understands what Matt and I are looking for in order to preforming the correct way.
Matt and I took it in turns filming different shots while Alfie preformed. As one was doing the filming the other took photographs of the other as evidence of what we have done. We can then use this evidence to show how we produced our music video. We both recorded different shot angles to provide alternative shots when editing.
